Days 1 & 2: Summerfield's Lodge, Kruger National Park, South AfricaArrive Or Tambo International airport in Johannesburg and depart after collecting your rental car for the world renowned great Kruger area. Transfers can be arranged for guests not wanting to self-drive. The leisurely drive to Summerfield's Lodge will take you through some since areas of the Highveld savanna down into the lowveld bush. Check into Summerfield’s Lodge and enjoy a relaxing drink on the banks of the Sabie River. Your accommodation is under luxury canvas tents, each suite is tucked away along the river, between trees and natural surrounds, privacy is guaranteed at all times. Enjoy dinner in the well Know Summerfield’s Kitchen were your choice of a varying menu will be prepared by the chefs. After dinner enjoy a coffee on the deck before a restful night’s sleep. As morning breaks you awake to a paradise of calm and relaxation. Take a stroll to the river deck for a sumptuous breakfast. One can indulge in the total relaxation of the Summerfield’s Spa, or take a day to explore the Panorama Route. An afternoon Elephant interaction at Elephant Whispers is a must, these gentle giants will capture your heart.
Days 3 & 4: Djuma Vuyatela, Sabi Sand Game Reserve, South AfricaAfter breakfast you check out and head for the world renowned Sabi Sands, Djuma Vuyatela will be your next port of call. A relaxed drive through the cultural heartland takes you to Gowrie gate and into Northern Sabi Sands, a short bumble through the reserve brings you to Vuyatela which means “come back again’ in the local language. On arrival you will be welcomed to the unique lodge, which celebrates the new South Africa with rich colours and modern yet contemporary style. Djuma Vuyatela Lodge overlooks a busy water hole, where one can view the splendors of the wilds, while enjoying a relaxing lunch. Guests meet back on the deck in the late afternoon for “high tea” and then head off for a game dive in open safari vehicles. Your ranger and tracker team will be with you throughout your stay and will get you closer to nature. There is a short sun downer stop en route, followed by your spotlight safari ending back at the lodge. Dinner will be served at one of the many venues around the lodge.
An early morning wake up call with coffee/tea and rusks gets you ready for your next safari. See the bush as it wakes up to a new and splendid day. En route you stop for a mid morning tea/coffee and snack break before heading back to the lodge for a welcomed breakfast. After breakfast you can enjoy the optional walk which lasts about an hour, or head to the spa for some extra relaxation. Lunch is enjoyed on the main deck overlooking the waterhole, after which you have time to relax at your private plunge pool on your private deck overlooking the bush. High tea is served late afternoon followed by your afternoon/evening safari.
Day 5 & 6: Camp Jabulani, Kapama Private Game Reserve, South AfricaAfter breakfast depart Vuyatela for Camp Jabulani, a short drive north of the Sabi Sands to Kapama Private Game Reserve. The safari options offered at Camp Jabulani are unique and exhilarating; your elephant interaction at Elephant Whispers prepares you for your Elephant back Safari with Camp Jabulani. Each safari is tailor-made to your specifications, this could be two Elephant back Safaris or one Elephant Back and one Open Vehicle Safari. The sheer luxury of the camp and safari will have you wanting for more. Lunch, High tea and Dinner are a sumptuous affair with plenty to go around. The spa offers some amazing relaxation. Arise to the sounds of Africa. Tea and coffee is served followed by either an Elephant back safari or traditional vehicle safari, breakfast is served in all its glory. After breakfast you have the choice of a bush walk or a trip to the world-renowned Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.
Day 7: DepartToday you check out of Camp Jabulani for your journey home by your own arrangements. Included:
