If you’d like to hang up the car keys for a bit, we can also arrange for a guided game drive where you’ll have the expert services of a tracker-guide team who know exactly where to locate the animals they know so much about.

We also recommend a day trip into the border post town Komatipoort if you’re tempted to try a local restaurant.

The best part about waking up at Buckler’s Africa Lodge every morning is that you don’t have to feel pressured to do something every day. You can very easily have a day to yourself, just hit the snooze button, and make a beeline for the pool with your favourite book.
As is the afternoon tradition among us South African locals, you can light up the coals and get the braai (BBQ) going while the African sun quietly slips beyond the horizon.
