Abangane Guest Lodge is conveniently located in Hazyview, Mpumalanga, South Africa, close to the world famous Kruger National Park. Three access gates to Kruger Park are located nearby, the closest being the Phabeni Gate reachable within a leisurely 15 minute drive.
How to get there
Directions from Johannesburg
Take either the airport route or via Pretoria to Witbank. From Witbank, follow Nelspruit/Maputo. In Nelspruit, follow the signs to White River (left at the big intersection). In White River, follow the signs to Hazyview (small sign which one can overlook shows left).
Through White River you will come to a T-junction where you can either go right or straight to Hazyview, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Go straight as the other way is not recommended. Follow the scenic road for about 45 kilometres (28 miles) and come to a T-junction. Turn left and you are in Hazyview. After the traffic lights, turn left at the second stop onto Sabie Road (R536). Follow the road for 1.5 kilometres (0.93 miles).
You will see a board on the left (from Sabie on the right). You will need an access code for your day of arrival. Exactly at the board, turn left onto the dirt road and open the gate with your access code. Follow the dirt road for approximately 500 metres and you will arrive at the Lodge gate. Ring the intercom and you will be welcomed to Abangane Guest Lodge. The total distance of the trip is about 420 kilometres (261 miles).
