There are no fences between the park and reserve allowing for spectacular game viewing opportunities in the open veld and at the riverside, which is an ideal habitat for wildlife. The reserve can be reached by car in 4 hours from Gauteng with access on the N4 highway from Nelspruit. The closest town is 10 minutes away at Malelane where all modern amenities can be found

Climate:

High temperatures are experienced in summer during the rainy season. In winter the days are pleasantly warm but with colder nights and early mornings.

Air:

Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) is the nearest airport just 45 minutes from the reserve. Connections are available from OR Tambo International Johannesburg, and also Cape Town and Durban.

Road:

It is a about a 4 hour drive from Gauteng to the lodge. Guests can make their way to the nearest city which is Nelspruit, and then take the N4 highway east to Hectorspruit. The turn off to the reserve is on the left hand side, just 2.5km (1.5 miles) past Hectorspruit between Malelane and Komatipoort.
